Out of mind

I am a PhD student in the Computer Science department at the University of Southern California. I received my bachelors degrees in mathematics and economics at SUNY Stony Brook in 2016. Towards the end of my undergrad, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and ended up working in an accounting office for about two years. During that time, I became interested in data visualization and machine learning, so got my MS in Data Science at Columbia University in 2019. I worked as a data scientist at reinsurance company Swiss Re, where I worked on natural language processing, medical data, event prediction, and predictive models to assist with underwriting.
